Observe the loading and unloading of cargo to these remote islands where the cargo ship Tuha'a Pae IV is a true umbilical cord. He brings food and equipment and allows people to export their copra and produce to the big island.

The islands of Tubuai, Rurutu, Rimatara, Raivavae are a few days cruise from Papeete with a program of 2 sailings per month from Papeete. You can choose to stop over for the day or stay there for some time waiting for the next passage of the ship.
For the adventurous, the distant Rapa, the southernmost of our islands, community lifestyle and preserved, is accessible with 10 trips a year.
The Tuha'a Pae IV offers 14 cabins (10 cabins with 4 beds, 4 double cabins) and dormitories (44 berths, toilet blocks available). Dorms are reserved for locals residents.

The shipping company SNA (Société de navigation des Australes) has for decades maintained on a regular basis the supply to these islands of the Austral Archipelago : Rimatara, Rurutu, Tubuai, Raivavae and Rapa Iti, with essential needs for their population such as : nutritious food, gas, petrole, agricultural and heavy equipment, cars, etc...

The vessel Tuhaapae IV built 2011 has added a new dimension to the services offered by SNA. Your cruise is planed to leave each islands at dusk and arrive at the next one at dawm to allow you to admire the magnificents sunsets and sunrises of the Austral Pacific.

The stops-over at each island is a full day and for those who have chosen the Classical Tour or Grand Tour, service providers will be présent at your arrival and bring you back after your visit ashore.
